How to Make a Basic Sugar Scrub
Basic Sugar Scrub Recipe and Instructions
This scrub will leave you feeling exfoliated, clean and moisturized without leaving your tub or shower greasy too! You can customize with different fragrance or essential oils and clays to put your own spin on it!

Takes about 30 minutes
Makes two 16 oz. jars or four 8 oz. jars
Materials
- 20 oz. Foaming Bath Butter
- 4 oz. Sweet Almond Oil
- 0.8 oz. Fragrance Oil (skin safe)
- 6 tsp. Clay
- 24 oz. Raw or Organic Sugar
- Jars with lids (two 16 oz. or four 8 oz. or eight 4 oz.)
- Scale
- Electric Mixer
- Spoon and/or Spatula
Instructions
Step 1
- Weigh 20 oz. foaming bath butter
- Place the foaming bath butter in the mixer at medium speed for a few minutes
Step 2
- Weigh 4 oz. sweet almond oil and add to the mixer
- Weigh 0.8 fragrance oil and add to the mixer
Step 3
- Turn off the mixer and add 6 tsp. of clay (otherwise the clay will make dust everywhere)
- Blend the clay in with your spoon or spatula
Step 4
- Turn the mixer back on and gradually add 24 oz. of sugar until all ingredients are blended
Step 5
- Spoon scrub out into containers and seal tightly
