Beginner's Guide to Making Water Absorbing Crystals Air Fresheners

This is the greatest thing next to sliced bread! These super absorbent crystals make great air fresheners for those who don't want to burn candles. Great for college dorms or retirement communities! The crystals will evaporate over time and can be refreshed by adding more warm water. These are so fun and easy to make!

Materials

  • 2 tsp. Smelly Jelly Crystals
  • 12 oz. Warm Distilled Water
  • 1/2 tsp. Preservative
  • 1-2 drops of Soap Coloring
  • 2 tsp. Fragrance Oil

Instructions

Step 1 - Work Area

  • Clean area and gather all materials

Step 2 - Allow Absorption 

  • Measure all ingredients
  • Combine ingredients & stir
  • Allow crystals to sit absorb for 24 hours

Step 3 -  Packaging

  • Once fully absorbed scoop or pour into packaging.
  • Glass jars with air freshener lids are the best for this material
 

Pro Tip: Each pound of crystals will make 18 to 30 lbs. of air freshener jelly.
