Hot Process Natural Shampoo Bars- 8/21/26 -10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Do you want to join in the movement to use less plastic and be more environmentally friendly? Shampoo and conditioner bars are not packaged in bottles; they are hard bars that last 60-80 washes and are made using natural ingredients free of harsh chemicals, surfactants, parabens, and phthalates.

In this class, we will discuss the all-natural ingredients used to make these bars and which ingredients are best for different hair types such as normal, dry, oily, straight, curly, color-treated etc. You will learn about various essential oil blends for hair growth and repair.

Everyone will make a 2 lb. batch of solid shampoo bars to take home and enjoy!

You will learn the basics of hot-process soap making, from safety procedures to mixing and molding your very own shampoo bars. You will also learn how to lower the pH of your soap so it is safe to use on sensitive skin and scalps.

Beginners are welcome; however, due to the added steps involved with making shampoo bars vs. regular soap, we do recommend prior soap-making experience before taking this class.

We provide all of the supplies and safety equipment needed (goggles, apron, gloves) for this class. Students just need to bring their smiling faces and wear comfortable clothing.

Class size is limited so that each student can receive the individual attention they need. Early registration is highly recommended.
