Jojoba Butter

Jojoba Butter is a creamy blend incorporating Jojoba Oil, a liquid plant wax that is non-comedogenic, being close to the structure of human sebum. With hydrogenated vegetable oil, the blend creates a luxurious butter with a dense viscosity and smooth texture. It is perfect for lotions, creams, and body butters as its creamy texture enables it to be used by those with normal to dry skin. This butter can be added to creams or lotions to make them ultra-rich and to improve the hydration and texture of the skin. Having excellent spreadability, it is ideal as a massage butter or carrier for aromatherapeutic products.

• Lotions & Creams: 2 - 20 %
• Balms: 5 - 100 %
• Bar Soaps: 5 - 20 %
• Hair Conditioners: 1 - 10 %

When adding butters to creams and lotions, it might be necessary to gently warm them until the texture is soft enough to be incorporated into the final product. Using a hand blender, create a vortex with your cream or lotion and drizzle your melted butter to fully incorporate. For addition in soaps, the general rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon per pound. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend small, lab scale batches prior to any commercial manufacturing.

Recommended Storage: Please note that this butter should ideally be stored in a refrigerator to maintain its texture. It will become soft in warmer temperatures. For more detailed information, click here.

Shelf Life: Slow to go rancid, when the oil is kept closed at a temperature below 18°C and kept away from light, the shelf life will be up to 24 months from the date of manufacture. Refrigeration is recommended.
