Description
Cosmetic grade micas are great for all types of personal care products. Safe for soaps, lotions, lip balms, shower gels etc. Micas provide a more subtle shimmer and shine than cosmetic glitters and a little goes a long way. Approved Color Additive Applications: General Cosmetics - Yes Cosmetics for Eye - Yes Lip – Yes Appearance: Sparkling Metallic Appearance. Particle Size: 56 – 70 µm, D50 (bigger number makes for more sparkle) Performance Results: Color: Produces a sparkle in clear bases. A flat, pastel color with no shimmer is produced in opaque (white) bases. When used in bath salts and fizzies, water color will not become tinted but instead may glisten with a slight sparkle that floats. Product pH: Color will not change in products with a high pH. Color Fading: This color is not light sensitive. Color Migration: If product design has layered colors, this color will not migrate or “bleed” between layers. Physical Form: Gold Reflective Powder Solubility: Disperses in Water Country of Origin: United States Storage: Room temperature. Air tight container. DIRECTIONS: Using amount as desired, blend powder directly into either the oil or water parts of the cosmetic recipe. Adding this color to a clear base will produce a rich sparkle while adding this color to white base will produce a pastel colored product with no sparkle. When making sparkle bath salts, apply a fine mist of rubbing alcohol to salts before adding powder and then allow to dry 2-6 hours before packaging. For cosmetics, eye and lip products add desired amount of mica. TIPS: Test your final product to insure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.
