Description
We love how fun these 7" taper candles look for the holidays. This silicone mold has a lot of detail and is split down the side, making it easier to remove the candles without breaking.
Instructions for use:
1. Use an upholstery needle to thread raw (unwaxed) 12 ply flat braid wicking through the mold. We found it easier to locate the candle tip on the inside of the mold. Poke the eye end of the needle through the mold from the inside, thread the wick, and then pull through.
2. Spray the mold generously with mold release spray. This is important because the tips of the tree will break if the wax sticks to the mold.
3. Use black clamps to fortify the seam on the mold (see picture) This helps to keep the wax from leaking out of the seams. Secure the wick at the top.
4. Place the mold inside a glass (to keep it from tipping over) and pour your wax to the top. Repour when cool if necessary.
5. When the candle has cooled, remove the clamps and very gently open the mold and remove the candle.
6. You can flatten the bottom on a warm griddle or trip with a knife if necessary.
