In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to make beautiful cold-process soap with tallow, a time-honored ingredient prized for creating hard, long-lasting bars with a rich, creamy lather. Tallow soaps have been made for generations and are loved for their gentle, skin-conditioning qualities.
Each participant will make their own 2 lb. batch of cold process soap from start to finish. Along the way we’ll cover the fundamentals of soapmaking including ingredients, safety, measuring, mixing, and how to create a well-balanced recipe using tallow.
This class is perfect for complete beginners who want to learn cold process soapmaking, as well as experienced soapers who want to explore working with tallow in their recipes.
