Waxes used for melts typically have meltpoints from 125-135 degrees F. Ideally you want to choose a low melt point so that they melt down quickly in warmers to provide scent.
If you want to make fun shaped wax melts or use clamshells as your packaging, you will need the meltpoint to be high enough to be able to be released from molds without disfiguration.
